U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna, R-Barneveld, is not happy with the sequestration cuts and wants to see Congress move to reverse them. “It’s a pretty ham-fisted way to reduce the budget and I don’t support it,” he said. “It needs to be dealt with, or we will have to face this every year for 10 years. We need to fix it.”OK, so what's the solution, Mr. Hanna? More debt ceiling increases and borrowing (which you have supported in the past)? Or will you and your fellow Republicans finally get serious about shrinking the size of the federal government to something sustainable? (Which may mean that some of your favorite causes like Planned Parenthood and STEM education will have to be supported elsewhere).
Every society going back to the ancient Romans that increased benefits to itself which it could not pay for eventually collapsed. That ancient history is our future unless changes are made now.
Please do the job we sent you to Washington to do.

Mr Hanna has obviously swallowed the Washington Kool Aid and likes the taste of it and wants more.He has become one of the dependable boys in the get along go along gang.
Very simple plan. Mr. Hanna is allowed to appear somewhat independent the first time he runs against an opponent he can beat. Once elected, loyalty comes due and you have another party hack, indebted to those who, if they didn't exactly put him there, have the power to allow him to stay in office through various devices including money, arranged competition, etc. If you think it really doesn't work that way, you are mistaken. When will we learn the best action in the voting booth is to keep voting for a name we don't recognize and very seldom the incumbent. If you want your government back, you'll have to risk it in hands of amateurs of decent character rather than pawns of the parties. Not a big risk, anyway. The agencies run this country, not the politicians we elect to steal from us. Only Americans (it seems) insist on voting against their own self interest and year after year returning such awful people to office. (Not that Hanna is awful, I don't know the man. But as a group, our politicians are pretty awful people. Excuse me while I go see how Weiner is making out. I hope he doesn't text me.)
Hanna's hero was always Sherry Boehlert, a tax and spend liberal RINO. He just hides it when he runs for office. His voting record now proves what he is.
