Interesting . . .

The Oneida County Executive and the Oneida County Majority Leader are pictured at left with the Orange County challenger to the local candidate for State Assembly.

Interesting ...

Also interesting is the story of the Oneida County candidate that was published recently in the Colgate University newspaper.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but . . .

doesn't it seem that our local leaders fear those who may know more than they . . . and will even throw the region under the bus to shut those with different ideas up to protect their own turf?

Has the County Executive endorsed a candidate in the primary? Will he? Should he? If he were to endorse anyone; would it be Tenney?

No surprise here. Picente and Joseph are just showing sour grapes because Joseph lost in 2010 to Tenney. Pretty sad actually. As they say, you learn more about a man in defeat than in victory.

Let them keep playing petty games and all they're doing is killing their petty chances at any political relevance in this region. Have fun boys. You just threw your own county under the bus and you didn't even back the right horse.

It's pretty simple; Caludia is not part of the Oneida County "club". They cannot control her.

Neither Claudia, nor her predecessor has been impressive as Assembly members. Albeit they both were/are Republicans in a Democrat club, they both need to become more outspoken. The Assemblywoman fully knew that she was an underdog from the beginning of her term, why was she not more outspoken and feisty from the beginning? Reelection is not the time to awake and come alive. She should have had the “in your face” attitude from the onset of her term. She needed to earn her enemies respect and force them to consider her a threat to their own political positions. Passivity does not work in politics. I hope the Assemblywoman has learned the lesson to NEVER allow the Oneida County political ilk to disrespect her again. Remember in politics, everyone including family members, are to be considered opponents.

The simple truth is that any Republican from UpState will not hold sway in any important way in Albany. So, who represents us in that body is largely irrelevant.
