Oneida County Is Coming for Your Wallets!!!

"Sewer rates could increase 10% in Oneida County."  This headline is misleading. The sewer rates are not increasing for everyone in Oneida County -- just for those users of the Oneida County Part County Sewer District . . . which is centered on Utica.
About $442,000 of the money generated will go to pay debt service on the $11.6 million project to accommodate increased sewer use expected from nanotechnology enterprises in Marcy.
The population of the sewer district is down.  The current users do not need to "accommodate increased sewer use."

Leave it to the Oneida County Legislature and the County Executive to find a way to tap Utica-area citizens for County-sponsored development.  We should all be so lucky to find a way to pass the costs of our pet projects on to someone else!

I have a better way to describe Picente's actions. Screwing Utica residents is more like it.
Picente's an expert at the game. He's been hosing Utica residents since the 1st day he took office.

this is really getting to a lot of people. this state and this county have broken the backs of people like myself. cant even wash your car, top your pool, water the lawn, without the added expenses. it is forcing me to move south. just horrible rate increases every year.. and the water board cares less too. anyone notice all the water main breaks on genesee st..by st eliz..its all pieced together..and the road gets tore up forever.

I finally realized last year that the ship known as CNY/Utica was going nowhere fast. Even New Hartford is poised for a big FAIL with the School District going downhill and the town's over development leading to sprawl and storm water flooding. I also grew tired of the OD's lies and endless empty cheer leading.

As a producer making over $140,000 a year I got tired of being over taxed to support the stupid and the lazy. Well last month I moved out and I could not be happier.

If you are a producer and you're tired of being taxed to death by idiots you can leave too. You won't regret it!

Isn;t it strange what the hell did they do with all the money for the past 90 or more years for these infrastructure repairs. I guess nothing. Sewer tax and local sewer tax its is almost laughable. But more pitiful.

Organized crime is not underground in our major cities. It's located in Albany & Oneida County govts. They're robbing us blind right under our noses.
