Democrats and progressive Republicans like John McCain who want to supply arms to Syrian rebels had better wake up.

Isn't it strange that Israel is not vociferously protesting a policy that could potentially put a radical Islamist government in power in Syria? At the same time, Israel's strongest supporters in the US (McCain, Graham, Feinstein etc.) are in favor of arming the Syrian rebels. Their justification is to defend human rights, control WMDs and fight terrorism. In fact, they complain Obama's not doing enough.
Well, gotta keep the 'ol military/industrial war machine rolling! How many of our "leader's" will now enrich themselves in our next war? Hey, so what if people die? Now that we're just about out of Afghanistan there's military contracts that the pentagon needs to award to corporate America.
History has taught the U.S. NOTHING! It is almost as if the end of the “Cold War” was a disappointment to the West. We armed the Afghanistan Rebels and Osama bin Laden (and we all know the ramifications we suffered from that mistake). And now the U.S. wants to repeat this colossal mistake and arm the Syrian Rebels. For what reason? Just to escalate tensions with the Russians or to appease Israel? Why?
