From the Times-Union: GlobalFoundries delays fab plans.
The company . . . says it will not expand in Malta without more financial assistance from New York beyond its current $1.4 billion package.

Wow!

I am so incredibly sick of companies and individuals who think the government is supposed to subsidize them.

With all due respect, you both have it backwards. Of course companies will push the envelope when government money is for the asking. It is governments job to say no and to eliminate the goodie jar in the first instance.
