Utica Master Plan: Thursday Open House (Tomorrow)

. . . and now, a Public Service Announcement . . .

Tomorrow/Thursday is Earth Day . . . and the Day that the Utica Master Plan Steering Committee holds an Open House at the Utica Public Library.

They've been busy on this for over a year, but a lot of people don't know what the Committee has been doing, or even what a Master Plan is!

NOW is your chance to find out!  There will be displays describing what a Master Plan is, the process to develop it, and and the goals and objectives that have been determined thus far.

Please attend this event, look at the displays and register your feedback.

It's YOUR CITY . . . It's YOUR FUTURE.

The promotion of this Master Plan by Roefaro borders on the comical. One would think that it will propel Utica to dazzling heights of hope and glory. I can't recall another time when so much hype was given to such a minor item. A Master Plan is okay in the sense of guiding development and establishing goals. It is nothing more. It doesn't attract development, provide a service or solve a problem. And, it certainly doesn't assist a budget process. Many communities as Utica spend considerable amounts of money on Master Plans that occupy shelf space. Utica's track record does not provide one with optimism, plan or no plan.
