Has Herkimer County Lost Its Senses?

Herkimer County is joining two of its towns to fight AGAINST DOWNSCALING the Jordanville wind project.

The Public Service Commission directed the downscaling to prevent certain views from being spoiled -- in other words, to prevent the project from being a nuisance to others. But the towns and the county want the "economic benefits" from the full size project.

That is what it is really all about, folks: Money.

I volunteer Herkimer County to take the NYRI powerline.

Unfortunately, your logic supposes that there is sense in Herkimer County.

I'm not sure what the problem with wind power is. Seems clean, there might be an initial cost increase so the windmills can be built, but after that, it would seem to be me that it'd just be cheap, free power. I don't even mind the way the windmills look....much nicer than those horrible power lines.

To the lady who doesn't mind windmills-- so, you have a huge bankrolled company ready to take over your property with corporate Big Energy Windmills, and you are OK with that?

To all the people who say they don't mind windmills: donate your property first.
